Biography

• Undergraduate Degree in Government, Smith College (B.A. cum laude, 1954); University of Kentucky Law School, (J.D. with high distinction) 1968. Order of the Coif, 1968.
• Married since 1956 to George W. Wilson, III, retired, formerly President, Kentucky Automotive Wholesalers; three children, Ward T. Wilson, Eleanor Wilson Derleth and Gretchen Wilson Brevnov; eight grandchildren.
• In private practice of law in Lexington since 1968, initially with the firm of Eblen, Howard & Milner. Since 1979 a partner with Gess Mattingly & Atchison. Now head of the firm's family law section.
• An active member of the Fayette County, Kentucky and American Bar Associations. A Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
• Formerly Bar Examiner and Secretary of the Kentucky State Board of Bar Examiners. Presently Chairman of the Kentucky Child Support Guidelines Commission and member of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board.
• Organized, lectured and taught numerous programs related to the practice of law, including CLE programs and the Kentucky Judicial College. A member of various committees of the Kentucky Bar Association including the Special Committee on Model Rules of Ethics and the Bar Center Construction Committee. Chairman of the Kentucky Child Support Guidelines Commission.
• Active on a number of civic boards over the years, including the United Way of the Bluegrass, of which she was Chairman of the Board in 1989-1990. Past community service includes the Board of the Salvation Army, the Central Kentucky Blood Bank and four years as a Girl Scout Leader. Presently serving on the Board of Wilderness Road Girl Scouts. 1983 Lexington Woman of Achievement. Active member of Southern Hills United Methodist Church.
